Asif Shahriyar Sushmit is a policy technologist and data scientist with extensive experience in Bangladesh’s digital transformation ecosystem, including cybersecurity, data governance, AI policy, and public-sector technology oversight. He has led national-scale legal drafting, coordinated whole-of-government transformation programmes, and delivered decision-ready governance and security roadmaps for development partners and government stakeholders.

• Reorganized a USD 24M government AI project to support native multimodal LLMs, dialect-aware speech recognition, indigenous language coverage, and local GPU cloud deployment.
• Delivered information security assessments, security improvement plans, and implementation roadmaps for UNDP and Bangladesh government platforms.
• Contributed to Bangladesh’s National AI Policy (draft) (2026–2030), including governance, data management, risk classification, and regulatory sandbox frameworks.
• Led community-driven Bengali language technology initiatives, dataset creation, and research collaborations in speech, sign language, and document understanding.
